Actor of the Day: Asuma Kousuke

Today’s actor of the day is a relative newcomer – Asuma Kousuke! Even though he’s only been performing on stage for only about a year, he’s had quite an impact already. At just 19 years old, he made his acting debut as Oikawa Toru in the Haikyuu Hyper Projection Stage Play. His real life volleyball skills and charming personality made him a perfect fit for the role, playing the flirty captain of Aobajosai. Since then, he went on to perform in the Kageki Meikoi stage production which just finished running this June. Yet again he was playing a cute bubbly character – Kawakami Otojirou – who actually was a crossdresser! In the next few weeks, Asuma will be starring as Ichimaru Gin in the latest Rock Musical Bleach, which will be running until August.
